Snail-speed service, cold food. Waited forever to get our food, it was completely cold when we got it. I would have asked for some fresh toast if it hadn’t taken so long to get our food the first time.

This is currently my regular place for Sunday morning with my partner. I firmly believe that this is the best quality and quantity for the price. Everytime I've went I left happy with the food and price. The only reason it's not a five star is the coffee. It just needs to be better, it's just a regular cup of joe which I understand, but personally I need a good cup of coffee with any breakfast. The odd mural is different but the atmosphere of a small owned restaurant is there and it's perfect!

My 6yr old son ordered the basic breakfast with his eggs sunny side up. Admittedly harder than over easy)His eggs were disgustingly under cook with egg shell in them. He never got his home fries and the food I got wasnt very good. $23+ for this with a small milk and a tea though? My son's "meal" should have been free. We.went home and made breakfast. What a dump. Even the waitress just looked at me like nothing was wrong when I pointed out raw egg and shell and asked why his hashbrowns never came. This place was my go to about 10years ago. Whatever happened, avoid this place. Save yourself some money and frustration

Every time I go here, the experience is amazing. The food is always delicious and there isn't a long wait. Staff is always friendly too. It really feels like a family experience. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone. The prices are incredibly cheap too!!

Our go to breakfast place use to be The Good Life Deli but since it closed we've been looking for a great place for breakfast. As first impressions goes, this was one of the best I've experienced In a long while. The atmosphere was cozy, the staff friendly, kind and accommodating. We were blown away by the incredible pricing for the portion sizes we got. The kitchen was out in the dining area and the food came so fast even with many people there. Never expirienced such quick service before during a breakfast rush. The food was really really delicious and the coffee was so good. For $22 bucks for two meals we will be going here more often from now on.

I have been eating here since I was a child. As a young adult I had spent many post date and post hangover mornings here. Great food, and great service.To me this restaurant is synonamous with Hamilton.

We went for breakfast before heading into Toronto for a ball game. Heard great things about this old time diner. We had traditional breakfast [tasty pork sausage, bacon , yummy home fries , pancakes , eggs and toast with coffee for an amazingly low price for a family of 4. A very nice lady served us and was so friendly. Thanks for the great breakfast....Amazing circus mural their wall...

I liked the cozy environment and our waitress was lovely. However there was a piece of shell in my omelette which wasn’t pleasant to discover and the owner of the place didn’t say a word to us at all despite it being a quiet time (around 2-3pm) and only acknowledged us when it was time to collect the money from our table. We got really weird and cold vibes from her. Wouldn’t go back unfortunately.

Big Top Family Restaurant offers a full menu, but is well known for their affordable, tasty, breakfast menu. It's been in business for many years and staff are friendly and efficient. If your looking for affordable, home cooked meals, try the Big Top!

Awesome breakfast although the wall scared me... looked like it was used for gun practice

First time ever in Big Top was on the snowiest night so far (we are from out of town). The 5 of us were starving. I went with my husband, 2 of our kids and my 82 year old Dad, after watching one of our older girls play varsity basketball. We were greeted by the most wonderful server. She was amazing. I looked around and saw the chef. It made me smile. He was in his whites. Cooking for all to see -- "old school" -- and it then, there it was! The mural of the big top circus painted along the longest wall. It's amazing and made you feel like you were in that time period. The coffee was excellent as was the food! I'll be back :)

Sadly no chocolate chips for pancakes but otherwise a good experience. Decent price for a decent meal.

The food is great and you get a decent amount for the cost. This place has a small amount of seating and it fills up fast so come early.

Took a while for someone to take our order but food came fast after they did.

A good ol' fashioned "greasy spoon" where you can get a decent breakfast of bacon and eggs, a burger, hot turkey and fries or any of the classics. The staff are friendly and the price is very reasonable, so you can feel comfy going back again and again. They also have an old wall mural of a circus dating back to their early days to remind you how much history the place has.

Ok this is an absolute GEM, great job with all day breakfast, I got the Super Breakfast, 2 eggs, 2 sausage, 2 bacon, 2 pancakes, home fries, and toast all for $9.50 what a great deal, and a great breakfast. Service was on point, and friendly, Very well done, I will be back. Update: $9.50 reflects the new price, their menu has changed, but for all that still a great deal.

This is an old fashioned diner. Fixtures from days gone by, wonderful mural of a circus scene covering oñe wall and great staff. We had a really nice breakfast. I'd recommend it. Kind of odd. There was a ramp to get into the restaurant but washrooms in the basement and hard to park the car.

Classic style breakfast diner with super friendly staff, delicious food, and really quick service! Coffee is decent, eggs were cooked the way we ordered, and the space is clean and inviting while still maintaining that classic diner feel. It was my first visit but definitely won't be my last!

This is one of my very favourite breakfast spots. You really get that ‘just like home’ feeling from the food. The servers are fabulous, the food never ever disappoints. I only wish their hours were more extensive so I could enjoy this place more often.

This ma and pa shop is fantastic!!! It feels like a classic, quirky, wholesome diner in every way. The food is ALWAYS scrumptious, fast, and very inexpensive. The service is always great, and every server there has a kind of old-school charm about them. Easy-going and kind, always. Really good people. Many booths, cozy, and a beautiful vintage painted mural uncovered a few years ago that dates back decades. 🔸🔶Just make sure to call/check their hours online before you come down because they have some funny ones!) This place is a precious gem. Go here. You’ll be glad you did. ☀️

Love big top all day breakfast that's all we have there really so I can't talk for the rest of the food. There very consistent with breakfast witch I love and the staff are very friendly!
